Juryns motivering: International Preschool är en arbetsplats som genomsyras av värme, glädje och engagemang. De är omtänksamma mot varandra, både när det gäller arbetsbelastning och välmående. Olikheter ses som en styrka och de tar ständigt lärdom av varandra.

”We have a great work environment, and we always try to have fluent communication among staff members. Everyone is open to helping each other and fixing possible problems together.”
”The team takes care of each other’s needs. If there is a need for help, a team member is always open to providing it. We collaborate on a daily basis and support each other when and if needed. Since it is a specific workplace (preschool), a high range of flexibility and adjustment is needed, and our team is always open to changes and accommodations that will fit students and other coworkers in the best way.”

”We care about each other and we have the freedom to ask for help, take an extra break, and ask for help when need it. We like to celebrate and we usually have Wednesday fika so we can try food and desserts from different countries.”
”As our work is dynamic and often rushed, we take a big responsibility in looking after our own as well as our coworker’s health. We ensure everyone is able to take a short break if the situation requires it, we ensure to always have enough people to cover all the workload. As a team, we had the opportunity to have the mindfulness workshop which was focusing on our mental wellbeing. We try to keep up with healthy routines so there are often healthy snacks provided to us, and we sign up for sports events as a team (Vårruset). The most important in the team is we feel as if we can say openly when things are too much for us, so the colleague can help out which alleviates a large amount of stress and then contributes to better mental health.”

”We always work together among the three grade levels. We mixed groups and staff members. Every afternoon we work together independently of your grade level/class you are part of. It is wonderful to work in a place where people like to help and make our work easier.”
”We are an open team and whenever someone suggests a new strategy or approach we are open to trying it out. If a member goes on a course or training, there is always an opportunity to pass the information to other colleagues and pass the new knowledge. Our principal constantly shares new relevant information that considers our work and approaches so we can act accordingly and up to date.”

”We are an international school and all of us are completely different. We accept everyone and try to learn from the different cultures and traditions.”
”Being an international team, we learn so much from each other. The riches of having so many different cultures are visible in the language, habits, routines, and rituals. We respect each other’s differences and viewpoints by trying to combine approaches from each other. Everyone brings a different perspective from their culture and as we are an open team we always try to assemble it in the work environment. We celebrate each other’s festivals and events where then we bring traditional food from each country and demonstrate customs and rituals. Besides celebrating traditional holidays that are common in European countries we celebrate Diwali, Holi, and Chinese New Year…which gives an opportunity for everyone to feel included and accepted and it gives a sense of belonging, both students and us as a team.”

”We share ideas and strategies. Every week we meet and share new concepts and things we have tried in our classes and worked on and the ones that we need to improve. We are also open to giving and receiving feedback by respecting others\’ points of view and using them in a good way.”
”When we have a situation we don’t know how to solve, we discuss it together during our meeting times which is great because everyone can be present and everyone can provide an idea or solution to the situation. When discussing important dates and events during the school year we always decide on it together as a whole team, which means everyone has an opportunity to voice what they think or feel.”
